Due to weather conditions on Saturday, December 3, the Coatesville Christmas Parade Committee regretfully announced the cancellation of the 2022 Coatesville Christmas Parade. 

We know that a lot of preparation goes into the parade by many groups, and we are sorry to have to have made that decision. 

There were many factors that forced us to arrive at that difficult decision including:

a) Heavy rains

b) Gusty winds

c) The safety of the participants and parade goers

We were unable to delay the start or reschedule the parade for many reasons, including:

a) Many of the professional performers, police and fire police volunteers, and parade participants, have other contractual commitments throughout the remainder of the holiday season.

b) The parade route is a state road. PennDot requiring three weeks' notice for road closures. Additionally, our permit required we reopen the road by 3 P.M.

In partnership with our wonderful sponsors, and the many groups and individuals that are the heart of the parade, we will see you on Saturday, December 2, 2023, with a bigger and better parade!
